چکیده

This work intends to be a generalization and a simplification oI me tecm~,~=~o employed in [2], by the proposal of a general strategy to prove satisfiability theorems for NLGM-s ( normal logics with graded modalities), analogously to the well known technique of the canonical models by Lemmon and Scott for classical modal logics.

Decidability by Filtrations for graded normal logics (graded modalities V)

1. I n t r o d u c t i o n Graded normal logics ( G N L s ) are the extensions of modal normal logics to a language with graded modalities. The interpretation in usual Kripke models of a formula <>hA (n < w), whose main operator is a graded possibility, is there are more than n accessible worlds where A is true. When graded modalities were introduced (in [7], independently rediscovering a forme...

Max-planck-institut F Ur Informatik Translating Graded Modalities into Predicate Logic Publication Notes

In the logic of graded modalities it is possible to talk about sets of nite cardinality. Various calculi exist for graded modal logics and all generate vast amounts of case distinctions. In this paper we present an optimized translation from graded modal logic into many-sorted predicate logic. This translation has the advantage that in contrast to known approaches our calculus enables us to rea...

The Complexity of the Graded µ-Calculus

In classical logic, existential and universal quantifiers express that there exists at least one individual satisfying a formula, or that all individuals satisfy a formula. In many logics, these quantifiers have been generalized to express that, for a non-negative integer , at least individuals or all but individuals satisfy a formula. In modal logics, graded modalities generalize standard exis...

EscO, a functional and structural analog of the flagellar FliJ protein, is a positive regulator of EscN ATPase activity of the enteropathogenic Escherichia coli injectisome.

Type III secretion systems (T3SSs) are multiprotein molecular devices used by many Gram-negative bacterial pathogens to translocate effector proteins into eukaryotic cells. A T3SS is also used for protein export in flagellar assembly, which promotes bacterial motility. The two systems are evolutionarily related, possessing highly conserved components in their export apparatuses. Enteropathogeni...

Effect of continuous and interval exercise training on the PETCO2 response during a graded exercise test in patients with coronary artery disease

OBJECTIVE The purpose of this study was to evaluate the following: 1) the effects of continuous exercise training and interval exercise training on the end-tidal carbon dioxide pressure (PETCO2) response during a graded exercise test in patients with coronary artery disease; and 2) the effects of exercise training modalities on the association between PETCO2 at the ventilatory anaerobic thresho...
